International Position Paper on Youth Partnership in Healthcare

An Activity of the Week project that has grown into a worldwide initiative through one simple idea: a youth-driven International Position Paper on Youth Partnership in Healthcare. Throughout the week of the 2025 iCAN Summit, our youth, led by host Chapter Leader Catherine Wilhelmy, drafted a position paper focusing on the accessibility of healthcare for youth, the importance of keeping the youth voice at the forefront in healthcare decisions, as well as the need for healthcare education and training for youth. First presented to the entire conference body, select youth leaders then presented the position paper (in both French and English) at the Summit’s closing press conference and to Lesley Hill, Montreal Director of Youth Protection.
